The College Expo added "From Callie Herd" on the College Expo website

Theresa Price, Founder of Black College Expo (http://www.thecollegeexpo.org/tce/index.php), has created a new section on her website to promote my college preparation blog (http://www.ctherd.blogspot.com/) along with highlights and tips from me on her website. The Announcement section is called "From Callie Herd".

In addition, Theresa, has also invited me to come back and attend the College Expo Tour in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday February 27, 2009. I thank Theresa for believing in my vision and how we must work together in order to make our society better. It is good to pull toward each other cause/vision rather than a way. This is truly a "village approach". Theresa, I am currently getting record amount of visits from LA, New York, Washington, DC and Atlanta.

The next Tour is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2009 in New York, NY, December 8, 2007 in Oakland, CA and on January 23, 2010 in Los Angeles, CA.

Additional News:

Google has also placed my blog as a major search category/field when retrieving lookups on college related areas. Below is an example of some of the searches.

I was #1 search out of 65,700,000 for possibilities for "planning and preparing for college":

Planning and Preparing for College

I was 37 out of 14,700,00 searches for "preparing for college":

Overall, I am asking you to share the blog (http://www.ctherd.blogspot.com/with as many individuals that you can. There are a lot of great opportunities on the blog. You can be a blessing to so many individuals. I shared, can you........

Best College Blogs to Subscribe to

Submitted by: By: Elizabeth Kudner

Although I think the myUsearch blog is the best blog in the world (duh), I read several other blogs on a regular basis and many of them are quite good. I’ve decided to put together a list of my favorite blogs that I thought you might enjoy as well. Note: I’ve read through so many blogs, it’s possible I’ve forgotten to mention some of the best. If any of your favorite blogs aren’t mentioned, please leave a comment.

My Methodology:

There is nothing scientific about the way I chose these blogs, they are just a list of blogs I subscribe to. Important: There are a ton of other college-related sites that are worth a visit, but this is a list of blogs worth subscribing to. That means they provide consistently good content on a regular basis in a blog format.

Best Scholarship Blog: I think the best scholarship blog to subscribe to is Callie Herd’s Planning and Preparing for College (Scholarships & Internships, etc.). Callie has a ton of resources on her site (especially for minority students) and she lists upcoming scholarships and deadlines that are actually worth applying to. Subscribing to her blog is a great way to sift through the thousands of scholarships out there.
